These sessions are great for anyone looking to start their creative journey, get back into painting, or just fancy trying something new in a low pressure social environment.
I offer a pre drawn design on the canvas board to help painters develop their painting skill and have fun.

Suitable for ages 16+

Watercolour painting session for beginners at The Quirky Café.

Learn the basic techniques and how to apply them to an image, guided step by step with an experienced artist and a little one to one support.

The paint room offers a supportive and social environment to get creative and learn new skills, come to our sessions solo or with a friend, you are sure to meet other like minded creatives and build your confidence through art.

All materials are provided in the cost however you are welcome to bring your own if you would prefer.

A month painting class for beginners using acrylic paint on canvas in a supportive environment.

A monthly figure drawing session for beginners with a clothed model.

Monthly Life drawing class suitable for all abilities, lead by an experienced artist.

Alternative Life Drawing aims to show contemporary bodies in a traditional art form, this is a LGBTQ+ friendly environment supporting local artists and models in the Northwest UK.

What to expect:
The first hour of the session is split up into a number of short poses that will increase in duration as the time progresses directed by the artist. Extra support is offered to beginners to explain proportions, shading and mark making techniques.

It is advised to bring your own drawing materials.
*basic materials are provided (Paper, drawing boards, pencils, charcoal etc…)

For experienced artists, feel free to go at your own pace!

Models:

Themes and models will be on rotation, with some sessions being partially clothed or full nudity.

Offering a variety of models within the LGBTQ+ community
Creating a safe space for both models and artists to push their skills and exploring underground themes in a traditional manner.
Working with the queer and kink community we aim to add a little spice to your portfolio.
These sessions are suitable for all levels and abilities, with an experienced art tutor to direct you through the session developing your skills and confidence in studying the human form.
Basic materials are included in the ticket price but it is encouraged to bring your own.

Van Gogh Starry Night
This is our most popular painting, we just can’t get enough of Van Gogh!
If you’re an absolute beginner or a seasoned pro you’ll get stuck into this one regardless, creating lots of texture and shapes through the use of impasto technique. (Thick layers of paint that stand off the surface)
Don’t let this expressionist style fool you, it is a challenge to paint but well worth it and beginners have managed.
You will have an experienced artist that will paint along and teach you the tricks so there is no need to worry.

Van Gough’s Sunflowers
We’re back at Brasco Lounge this week painting a classic masterpiece.
This is a great painting for those wanting to try out the impasto technique (using thick layers of paint).
It can get quite messy but we assure you it’s lots of fun!

This weeks painting is ‘Splash’ by David Hockney
This painting is in a graphic style so less about painting texture and more for the creative perfectionist, lots of neat lines and well mixed colours to recreate this iconic painting.
